About BioLife Plasma Services

This role involves training that may require travel. All travel-related expenses will be covered by the company, including flights, accommodations, and meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Eligibility (85%)
  • Accurately assess donor eligibility in a timely manner, including informed consent management, medical history interviews, physical examinations, and reviewing laboratory test results.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reactions that occur during the donation process, following established protocols for medical emergencies.
  • Notify donors of unsuitable test results as per standard operating procedures.
  • Initiate investigations related to post-donation information.
  • Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
  • Maintain competency in job responsibilities and participate in periodic assessments.
  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Support (5%)
  • Conduct evaluations of new hires' medical histories.
  • Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
  • Manage employee medical records and incidents as needed.
  • Medical History Duties (10%)
  • Welcome donors and monitor their vital signs and health metrics.
  • Document donor information accurately in the Donor Information System.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Completion of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer service-oriented with basic computer proficiency.
