About BioLife Plasma Services

This role will involve travel for training purposes, with all expenses covered by the company, including flights, accommodation, and meals. Weekend travel home may be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
The Medical Support Specialist is responsible for determining donor eligibility for plasma donation, managing donor reactions, reviewing laboratory results, and notifying donors of any unsuitable test outcomes. This role operates under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician for medical-related matters. Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and manufacturing environments is preferred.
Primary Duties:
- Donor Eligibility (85%): Accurately assess donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interviews, perform physical examinations, and review test results.
- Evaluate and manage donor reactions in accordance with established protocols.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results as per standard operating procedures.
- Assist with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program as needed.
- Conduct pre-employment evaluations and maintain employee medical records.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid nursing license in the state of practice: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current CPR and AED certification required.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
