Director of Regulatory Affairs

Alpha Generation is seeking a highly skilled Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs to lead our regulatory and government affairs efforts within the PJM ISO market and at FERC. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PJM market, strong relationships with regulatory and governmental stakeholders, and a track record of navigating complex regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to influence policy and regulatory decisions in the PJM market.
- Monitor, analyze, and distill down to stakeholders all pertinent regulatory developments, including proposed and enacted legislation and regulations, impacting the PJM market and the power generation sector.
- Cultivate and preserve strong relationships with key officials, state and federal regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders within the PJM market and at a national level.
- Represent Alpha Generation in state and federal regulatory proceedings, legislative hearings, and industry conferences.
- Author and present comment, testimony, and position papers on regulatory and legislative matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to align policy positions with PJM market strategy.
- Seek out opportunities for interaction and engagement with external stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers, and relevant groups.
- Prepare and present briefings and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team on regulatory and legislative developments and their potential impacts on Alpha Generation.
- 5-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs and government relations within the energy sector.
- Extensive knowledge of the PJM ISO market and its FERC and state regulatory environment.
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, government officials, and industry groups.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and develop strategic responses.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field; an advanced degree is not required, but preferred.
