Responsibilities

The actuarial internship program has two primary goals: to provide students with an opportunity to explore the actuarial field as a possible career choice and to identify potential full-time talent.

The internship will include a variety of actuarial research activities dependent upon the need of the department at the time of the internship.

These activities may include expense studies, lapse studies, rate management analysis, product pricing, process automation, and other relevant tasks.

Projects vary each summer, providing real-world experiences that are not simulated.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A successful track record in a four-year degree program, in Math or Actuarial Science.
  • Proven project and people leadership skills, including developing strategies, motivating individuals, providing feedback, and driving for results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including listening and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects and duties.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively.
