Job Title: Data Science Intern

Post Consumer Brands is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Intern to join our team for a 12-week summer internship program. As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our Data Engineering and Reporting teams to deliver high-quality data science solutions to key business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new ML models and engineer robust ML pipelines
  • Explore disparate data sources to assess their value and usability in analytics solutions
  • Participate in ad-hoc analysis and dive into solving business problems partnering with stakeholders in the organization
  • Create insightful dashboards and charts to aid in storytelling with business partners
  • Use Python, R, and SQL to analyze and extract insights that will enhance decision-making capabilities

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experience in Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, Pyspark, plotly), R (tidyverse, ggplot), and SQL
  • Proficiency in reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Demonstrated understanding of Statistical Modeling or Machine Learning concepts and the ability to develop predictive models
  • Ability to work independently and in teams and bring joy while doing so
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or work experience
  • Demonstrated interest in or prior experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Hadoop
  • Interest in the consumer packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation
