Position Overview
The role entails overseeing the strategic operations and resource allocation for the implementation of demand-side management initiatives aimed at fulfilling energy efficiency objectives for both Residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sectors. This position is pivotal in spearheading the introduction of innovative products and services through collaboration with various departments, including operations, legal, regulatory, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and direct the procedures and initiatives for the execution and provision of demand-side management and other energy efficiency offerings within PSEG's energy efficiency programs, utilizing cross-departmental collaboration.
- Supervise both internal personnel and external contractors to guarantee that program objectives are achieved while maintaining a high standard of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction across all initiatives.
- Offer leadership and strategic advice to internal stakeholders to enhance existing processes, policies, and practices; provide expert consultation for the evaluation and creation of new products, programs, and services.
- Establish partnerships and manage relationships with vendors and trade allies to support the delivery of current energy efficiency initiatives and foster backing for future projects; represent the organization in internal committees, including BPU-sponsored working groups.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and improvement of IT systems necessary for program management and performance reporting.
- Formulate and oversee program budgets and assist with regulatory submissions.
- Promote and nurture a strong culture of integrity, diversity, teamwork, open communication, safety, and wellness within the organization.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, either externally or internally.
- Proven expertise in demand response initiatives.
- Familiarity with utility regulations and accounting principles.
Preferred:
- In-depth knowledge of PJM capacity markets.
- Comprehensive understanding of the utility sector.
Experience Requirement
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience is required.
