About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager of AI and Data Standards Initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of key AI and data standards initiatives that will drive business growth and excellence in the field of pathology and laboratory medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement AI and data standards strategies that align with the College's business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the AI Committee, Digital and Computational Pathology Committee, and Informatics Committee in their AI strategy and activities.
  • Engage with external standards development organizations and government agencies to position the CAP as a leader in pathology AI and data standards.
  • Collaborate with members and internal CAP leaders to develop and implement AI and data standards initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry vendors, government agencies, and other professional organizations to advance the CAP's AI and data standards agenda.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a high technical environment or clinical laboratory with a strong understanding of AI concepts and data standards.
  • Knowledge of at least one standards development organization's work (e.g., HL7, IHE, DICOM) is required.
  • Experience in project management and leadership is highly desirable.
  • Relevant knowledge of laboratory informatics and AI tools is a plus.
