Job Title: Private Wealth Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned Private Wealth Advisor to join our team in Winnetka, IL. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with high net worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to attract and retain clients
  • Provide advisory-based sales and relationship management to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Develop internal and external networks to grow business in the assigned portfolio
  • Collaborate with other experts to create integrated business development plans
  • Act as the primary Relationship Manager for assigned client relationships
  • Lead Annual Client Review with team members to evaluate changing needs and implement the client experience
  • Produce client reports that demonstrate the value provided and assess clients at-risk for retention
  • Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies
  • Network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices
  • Proactively identify client needs and concerns to diagnose and facilitate resolution of client issues
  • Introduce subject matter experts to the client
  • Share wealth solutions expertise and product knowledge across regional team
  • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals
  • Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop roadmap for strategic execution
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
  • Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders
  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders
  • Bridge banking, trust, and investment disciplines together for client communications when the full relationship exists
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Monitor and track performance, and address any issues
  • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards
  • Build change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in a variety of change management activities
  • Lead the execution of operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of tools and training required to deliver business results
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes
  • Develop and manage a business/group program
  • Review the program for effectiveness, consider industry trends, and recommend enhancements
  • Use an advisory-based financial planning approach to manage opportunities and relationships
  • Support the achievement of the business plan within the designated territory/region
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to build capability and drive business growth
  • Meet high-quality service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth
  • Develop rapport and instill confidence with the client to develop credibility and earn their trust
  • Follow through on the risk and compliance processes and policies to ensure we safeguard our customers' assets, maintain their privacy, act in their best interests, and ensure an effectively run function
  • Protect the Bank's assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements
  • Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine
  • Implement changes in response to shifting trends
Requirements:
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MBA certification preferred
  • Experience dealing with HNW clients and equivalent knowledge base
  • Certified Financial Planner is preferred
  • Broad knowledge of all facets of wealth management
  • In-depth/expert knowledge of Bank products, services, and capabilities
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth/Expert

Salary: $100,000.00 - $185,500.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards. BMO also offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
