Position Overview:
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Casual Radiologic Imaging Specialist to enhance our radiology team.


The Radiologic Imaging Specialist delivers essential services to patients and healthcare providers by producing high-quality diagnostic images. This role emphasizes providing quality, age-appropriate patient care in accordance with established standards and collaborating effectively with all healthcare team members.


Work Schedule:
This is a casual role, with hours determined by departmental needs.

  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Engage with patients to provide necessary information throughout the examination process
  • Achieve optimal diagnostic images through precise patient positioning and technical proficiency
  • Maintain the integrity of patient data
  • Perform computer-related tasks including editing, scheduling, billing, and image transfers efficiently
  • Accurately mark images and manage digital image archiving
  • Actively participate as a team member
  • Mentor and orient new staff and students
  • Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives
  • Commit to ongoing personal and professional development to stay current in the field
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and supplies
  • Collaborate with customers and care partners to ensure exceptional care
  • Foster a positive work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Operate imaging equipment according to established standards
  • Identify and address equipment issues to ensure functionality
  • Maintain a high level of skill and proficiency
  • Adapt to new technologies as they are introduced
  • Participate in Quality Assurance testing as mandated by regulatory standards or manufacturer guidelines


Demonstrate the ability to provide care that is sensitive to the developmental and cultural needs of the populations served.


Qualifications:
Required:
  • ARRT Certification/Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred:
  • One year of experience as a radiologic technologist
