Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient care and safety standards
  • Perform examinations and identify relevant data from images accurately
  • Communicate pertinent data clearly to healthcare professionals
  • Participate in crafting a culture of patient safety and emergency preparedness
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Connect with and educate patients regarding pertinent information during exams
  • Achieve quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and technical factors
  • Ensure patient data integrity and accurately complete computer functions
  • Participate as an active team member, orient and mentor new employees and students, and contribute to department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
  • Clean and maintain rooms and supplies, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Provide coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care
  • Accurately operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
  • Identify and respond to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately

Requirements:

  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
