Volt is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Waterloo, IA

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Offering support and basic troubleshooting for ongoing operations. You will investigate, collect, and analyze data for specific, recurring tasks.
  • Creating routings, methods, layouts, tools, cost estimates, documentation of methods, quality plans, and labor standards for updates to existing operations and/or new components or programs of limited scope.
  • Designing and/or sourcing tooling and mistake-proofing for new processes and/or new components.
  • Engaging in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of proven factory support and manufacturing engineering expertise (including routings, methods, layouts, tools, cost analysis, capacity planning/line design, documentation of methods, maintenance, quality plans, and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Preferred Qualifications: (not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Knowledge of DC Electric torque tools.
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with robotics.
  • Background in manufacturing, robotics, or factory automation is advantageous.
Duration: 11+ Months (potential for extension)

Compensation: $34 to $38 per hour.

The compensation offered to a successful candidate will be influenced by various factors, including education, work experience, job location, specific job responsibilities, certifications, etc.
