About the Job

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, communicating with patients, and ensuring the quality of radiographs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.
  • Identify patients, label images, and process radiographs to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist Radiologists, prepare and maintain records, and enter patient information into the radiology information system.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently. The position may involve exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids.
