Radiologic Technologist

At Connecticut Children's, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT/Radiologic Technologist 2 to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services to our pediatric patients.
Responsibilities:- Maintain the highest level of patient care and imaging quality in pediatric and neonatal patients.
- Operate general radiologic and CT Scan imaging equipment, performing a variety of procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Effectively utilize available resources and collaborate with other department members to ensure timely and accurate performance of requested exams.
- Provide support to other sub-sections of the department as needed, including ED, OR, Clinics, inpatient units, and off-site locations.
- Teach and mentor new technologists, student technologists, and Radiology Residents in radiologic technology skills.
- Ensure accurate data transfer between department and hospital systems, completion, and scanning of Med Rec., Physician request, Radman request form, and other pertinent data into department RIS.
- Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiologic Technology program.
- Board eligibility required and must follow ARRT standards of board eligibility and subsequent licensing by the State of Connecticut.
- Computed Tomography board certification within one year of employment.
- Previous pediatric experience preferred.
