The Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to join our team in shaping the future of our network infrastructure.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-wide network architectures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a scalable and secure network infrastructure that supports our business operations.

This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, including OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and EIGRP, as well as experience with network management tools and application-to-network integration/dependencies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least 12 years of cumulative experience in network engineering work, including data center, WAN edge, SDN, CDN, and multi-cloud connectivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement network architecture designs that meet business requirements and ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, evaluate options, perform risk analysis, and implement cost-benefit analysis.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop and maintain network automation frameworks and software-defined networks (SDN) to improve agility, scalability, and flexibility.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on how to structure and store data to meet analytical and business needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years' cumulative experience in network engineering work, including data center, WAN edge, SDN, CDN, and multi-cloud connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end application flow management and out-of-band networking.
  • Experience with various network management tools, application-to-network integration/dependencies, and business processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great interpersonal dispositions and communication skills.
