Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Administrative Specialist to join our team in the Veterans Services Office. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service to local government officials, area non-profit organizations, and the community at large.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clerical and program support to the Veterans Services Department
  • Manage front desk operations and serve as the first point of contact for the public
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare reports, memos, and other documents as needed
  • Provide technical and administrative support to department staff
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Four years of progressively related clerical, administrative, or customer service experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or a similar platform
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Veteran status in accordance with MN Statute
  • Personal or secondhand experience with VA programs and systems
  • Experience working with a diverse group of community members and public officials
Work Environment

This position will be performed approximately 100% of the time indoors, with minimal exposure to health hazards and accidents. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a high level of attention to detail.
