Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized testing, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized testing following established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing, including patient results, proficiency testing, quality control, and instrument calibrations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving testing problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies, completing mandatory training programs and obtaining continuing education credits as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Two years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of EPIC/LIS/CoPath functions related to testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Molecular methods experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
