Medical Malpractice Paralegal Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our team at Center City Law Firm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting attorney's business needs in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Filing and Calendaring: Proficient in PA and NJ court filing, calendaring, and coordinating deadlines.
  2. Deposition Scheduling: Scheduling and confirming depositions.
  3. Medical Records Management: Obtaining and organizing medical records/charts, reviewing medical records and case file.
  4. Correspondence and Pleadings: Drafting correspondences, responses, and subpoenas, preparation of pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
  5. Communication: Effective communication with clients, experts, vendors, etc.
Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in medical malpractice.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to read and interpret medical records.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Time Matters or similar software is a plus.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Use of electronic filing system (PA and NJ).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
