We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor of Russian to join our team at Durham Technical Community College. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Russian language courses and developing curriculum to meet the needs of our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Russian language courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Russian language instruction
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Russian or a closely related field
  • Master's degree in Russian or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Russian preferred
  • Successful experience teaching Russian at a university or community college preferred
  • Ability to use modern instructional technology and experience with Internet-based instruction
  • Competence in oral and written communication skills necessary for effective teaching
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. Specific work hours will be determined by the scheduled class hours and consultation with the supervisor. This position is not eligible for benefits.
