Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Child Welfare

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Krasan Consulting Services. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the transformation of child welfare services provided to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure that business requirements for child welfare processes are clearly understood, documented, and translated into actionable product backlogs.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and discussions with Product Managers, Product Owners, and child welfare social workers to gather, prioritize, and refine business requirements related to front-end and back-end social work processes.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that user stories accurately reflect the needs of child welfare agencies and are detailed, prioritized, and ready for development in line with Agile methodologies.
  • Partner with Scrum teams and stakeholders to continuously improve child welfare workflows and provide feedback to Product Managers and Scrum teams on how product features can be enhanced to meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and the needs of social workers.
  • Act as the liaison between the business and the Scrum teams, ensuring that child welfare requirements are communicated clearly and that solutions are developed, tested, and deployed effectively.

Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of child welfare regulations, processes, and best practices, including front-end emergency response, back-end continuing services, and standards for adequate parental care.
  2. Proven experience with child welfare case management, including familiarity with the development and monitoring of case plans, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  3. Ability to analyze current business processes and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of child welfare services.
  4. Excellent communication skills, enabling you to work with a variety of stakeholders, including social workers, legal professionals, medical staff, and community service providers.
  5. Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to track performance metrics and use data to inform business decisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with social services software or platforms used for child welfare case management, such as SACWIS (State Automated Child Welfare Information System).
  • Understanding of federal and state laws governing child welfare and the ability to ensure compliance in all business processes.
  • Experience in guiding organizational change and supporting the adoption of new processes and systems within child welfare agencies.
  • Ability to provide training and ongoing support to social workers and other stakeholders to ensure they can effectively use new processes and tools.
  • Relevant certifications in child welfare, business analysis, or project management, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or a certification in child welfare services.
