Early Intervention Specialist

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with families, children, and community partners to provide high-quality early intervention services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental status and create individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide direct child development services, including play-based activities and parent-child interactions, to promote cognitive, adaptive, social-emotional, and motor development.
  • Collaborate with families to identify goals, objectives, and strategies that support their child's development and well-being.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that prioritize family-centered and culturally responsive practices.
  • Document progress, complete reports, and maintain accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, with at least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, preferably in early intervention or early childhood education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of family systems, early childhood development, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries and standards.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to clients' homes and community settings.
