Job Summary and QualificationsOur Registered Nurses elevate the standard by delivering clinical expertise and exceptional care with compassion.
Cardiology RNs are responsible for managing nursing care plans for patients with various heart and vascular disorders, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmias, and peripheral vascular disease.
As a Cardiology RN, you will take on roles such as circulator, scrub, or monitor for PCI, STEMI, Diagnostic Caths, Pacemaker and ICD insertions, and interventional peripheral vascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and assess patient care plans before, during, and after procedures to optimize outcomes and utilize resources effectively.
- Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall physical and emotional well-being.
- Provide direct nursing care and oversee non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established protocols.
- Deliver pre-and post-procedure patient education and emotional support tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Current state nursing license required.
- ACLS certification required within six months of employment.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills required; basic computer knowledge preferred.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an ICU or ER setting required; prior cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
- Basic equipment and machine skills preferred.
- Two years of experience required.
