Job Description: Under direct supervision, operates magnetic resonance imaging machines to capture standard images of intricate anatomical structures for medical professionals to diagnose various disorders.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Conducts a range of standard imaging procedures
  • Selects suitable imaging methods and manages console and associated hardware
  • Evaluates patients for safety and educates them about the imaging process
  • Executes venipuncture procedures as necessary
  • Transfers, positions, and guides patients during procedures
  • Reviews physician's orders for imaging and verifies patient identity
  • Assesses images for quality, organizes records, and maintains documentation
  • Encourages patient cooperation and reassures those with apprehensions
  • Engages in ongoing education in MRI methodologies
  • Implements quality assurance measures
  • Ensures equipment is operational and informs supervisor of any issues
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited magnetic resonance imaging training program
  • Licensure in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT
  • California Venipuncture Certificate
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Radiology Technology or Radiology Science
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in operating MRI machines post-registration
Physical Class III: Requires standing or walking, with occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds

Selection Process: Based on assessment of experience, education, and supplemental questionnaire

Eligibility: Candidates must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher
