We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UCLA Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex MR imaging procedures and post-processing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders and maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed.
- Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations and perform accurate image archival.
- Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media and sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient.
- Apply knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room.
- ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required
- OR - ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required
- Venipuncture certificate - required
- BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
- Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required
- AA or BS - preferred
- At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred
- Siemens experience - preferred
- Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
- Ability to identify contraindications for exams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
- Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
- Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
