Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UCLA Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex MR imaging procedures and post-processing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders and maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed.
  • Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations and perform accurate image archival.
  • Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media and sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient.
  • Apply knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room.
Requirements
  • ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required
  • OR - ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required
  • Venipuncture certificate - required
  • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
  • Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required
  • AA or BS - preferred
  • At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred
  • Siemens experience - preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
  • Ability to identify contraindications for exams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
