Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to become a vital part of a well-respected General Contractor known for managing intricate projects.

Key Responsibilities
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
- Thoroughly reviewing bid documents from clients, including work scopes, sketches, overlays, or complete project plans to gain a full understanding of the required work.
- Collaborating with the assigned Construction Project Manager to review bid documents and establish a strategic plan before creating an estimate or bid proposal.
- Conducting precise and complete quantity take-offs from project plans.
- Preparing detailed bid packages and work scopes by trade for distribution to subcontractors, ensuring clarity in the work scope for major trades involved.
- Requesting material quotes from vendors providing necessary materials and services.
- Maintaining organized files for vendor quotes and subcontractor bids.
- Gathering multiple quotes for trade and material services, meticulously reviewing all quotes to ensure the required scope is included.
- Negotiating with service providers to secure favorable rates.
- Leading and participating in bid walks with clients and subcontractors.
Candidate Profile
The ideal Construction Estimator will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Construction Estimator role.
- Experience in core markets such as healthcare, life sciences, academic, or commercial projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer and software skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
