Position Summary
In this role, you will operate under general supervision as a key member of a high-performing compensation team, engaging in comprehensive activities related to the design, development, and management of various compensation programs. You will oversee projects, coordinate activities, and formulate recommendations that require a deep understanding of provider compensation structures, methodologies, and market trends. Acting as an internal consultant, you will provide analytical support on diverse compensation-related issues across multiple business units. Your contributions will ensure the consistency and legal compliance of compensation practices throughout the organization, while collaborating with HR, finance, and business leaders to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for designated functions and departments, leveraging your expertise in compensation models and market dynamics to inform local decision-making.
- Engage in the design, implementation, and management of all provider compensation initiatives, which includes data collection, compensation calculations, processing changes, and stakeholder reporting.
- Generate comprehensive reports and analyses, assessing program affordability and implementation costs, while evaluating proposals for new initiatives and monitoring existing programs for effectiveness.
- Maintain and manage databases in Excel and Access to support compensation programs, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to clarify factors influencing business data and identify sources of variation, providing guidance in data analysis to other departments and senior management.
- Participate in the collection, submission, and evaluation of compensation surveys, conducting market analyses for physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
- Assess and review compensation-related issues, including salary offers for new hires and promotions.
- Develop administrative processes to accommodate variable pay requirements for specific business groups.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May provide mentorship and direction to junior analysts or other team members.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resource management, or data analytics (or equivalent education, training, or experience) is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of five to seven years of experience in compensation, including program development, design, analysis, and implementation, is required.
