Job Overview

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Physical Therapy Assistant, and in compliance with the State Practice Act, the Physical Therapy Technician will assist in implementing the rehabilitation protocols of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain records of ancillary services while supporting various center-specific operations.
  • Execute tasks assigned by the supervisor in accordance with the State Practice Act.
  • Ensure the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of whirlpools following OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain and log temperatures for hydrocollators and paraffin units as per established policies.
  • Oversee laundry services and ensure a consistent supply of therapy materials.
  • Regularly clean and maintain all therapy and exercise apparatus.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards for safety inspections, cleaning, disinfecting, chemical storage, and waste disposal.
  • Monitor and report any unusual patient conditions or responses to treatments in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, effective communication skills, and reliability, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment while providing exceptional patient care.
