Automotive Service Technician

The TEC Group is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service center, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with daily Amazon EDV business operations, including shuttling vehicles between delivery stations.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, using a documented process and checklist.
- Document results of pre-delivery inspections and communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Follow established repair procedures with efficiency and quality.
- Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles.
- Assist with vehicle repairs in a setting outside of a service center.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of repairs.
- Perform necessary parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
- Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training.
- Support campaigns and containment initiatives.
- Maintain accurate expense reporting as needed.
- Establish peer relationships and work under the mentorship of a senior technician.
- Maintain high-quality work and efficiency while working with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Provide service support to the field to support the Service organization.
- Communicate professionally in a customer-facing environment.
- Level 1 Technician: Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade, with no automotive specific training required.
- Level 2 Technician: 2-4 years of experience in an automotive specific environment, with exposure to various repairs.
- Level 3 Technician: 5+ years of automotive experience, with EV experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or GED preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred.
- One year experience working in an automotive repair shop preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
- Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Experience using a work order management system, including repair documentation.
- Experience working in start-up environments preferred.
- Exhibits patience and eagerness to learn.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, along with attention to detail.
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks.
- Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need.
- No driving-related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period.
- Ability to read and speak fluent English.
- Ability to properly document repairs completed and in process.
