Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiology Scheduler to join our team at Southwest Medical Imaging. As a Radiology Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling and confirming patient appointments for various radiological exams.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and confirm appointments for radiological exams using a computerized system.
- Receive and make calls to patients and internal customers to confirm appointments and provide instructions.
- Monitor and update the schedule with add-ons and cancellations throughout the day.
- Initiate protocol processes for MRI, CT, and biopsy patients.
- Ensure accurate and complete patient demographic and insurance data.
- Communicate with imaging centers and patients regarding special needs and cases.
- Seek assistance from scheduling notes, coordinators, and supervisors as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of medical experience required.
- Radiology or medical industry experience preferred.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
