Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of meetings and track expenses for the department.
  • Prepare agendas and document minutes for various committee meetings.
  • Conduct research and draft policies that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Foster relationships with legislative counterparts and maintain communication with key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on legislative policies, budgetary matters, and regulatory developments.
  • Support the creation of materials and programs focused on legal compliance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field is required. Familiarity with the legislative process and regulatory agencies is preferred. A valid driver's license is necessary due to travel requirements.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

Essential Functions:

  • Uphold ethical standards in all duties performed.
  • Support the Senior Director in advocacy initiatives and member engagement.
  • Collect and analyze data to formulate effective communication strategies.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Director and other leadership.

Position Goals:

To enhance the organization's capacity to advocate for its members by providing comprehensive support in legislative and regulatory matters, ensuring that the needs and concerns of member physicians are effectively represented.
