Position Overview

The Department of Psychology within the College of Social Science, Mathematics & Education at the University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to deliver courses in General Psychology and other related subjects as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one or two 4-hour classes each semester.
  • Develop a syllabus and other instructional materials.
  • Instruct in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Hold office hours for student consultations and provide guidance on assignments.
  • Complete grading tasks and submit final evaluations through the online system.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Clinical, Social, Industrial and Organizational, Cognitive, Biopsychology, Developmental, or General Psychology from an accredited Psychology Department. A PhD or ABD in Psychology is preferred.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.

Additional Information:

Applications for part-time positions are accepted continuously and will be reviewed by the department chair as openings arise. Future teaching assignments will be determined on a term-by-term basis, which may encompass fall, spring, and summer semesters.
