Erie Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Liability Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for handling complex liability claims, exercising independent discretion and judgment to ensure fair and timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations to determine coverage and liability.
  • Handle claims involving complex liability, damages, or coverages, negotiating with all parties as needed.
  • Document files and submit reports, identifying subrogation opportunities and initiating appropriate action.
  • Complete required training and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
  • Train and mentor colleagues to ensure a high level of expertise within the team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in liability coverages, laws, and injuries.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) program preferred.
