About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Coordinator to join our team at Wellpath. As a key leader in our infection control program, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with current infection prevention and control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive infection control program, conducting surveillance and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement educational objectives and strategies to meet staff and patient needs, providing consultation on infection prevention and control issues.
  • Prepare a monthly report of infection control events and activities, and chair quarterly infection control meetings.
  • Assist with patient care, utilization management, and other job responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, Baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • Attends a basic infection control training course within the first year of entering the profession preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse within the state, and ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
