About the Role:

Greenwich Country Day School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Girls Varsity Tennis Coach to join our team. As a coach, you will be responsible for building a stellar varsity program and providing high-level expertise to our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching plan to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Recruit, motivate, and develop student-athletes to reach their full potential
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule practices and games
  • Supervise and maintain a safe and respectful team environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive team culture

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated professional competency
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience with adolescents in this age group
  • Passion for athletic competition and ability to motivate and inspire athletes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing collaborative relationships with external partners/organizations
