Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Wealth and Fiduciary Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our wealth management business.
  • Manage all investment, administrative, compliance, and regulatory aspects of our wealth management business, including revenue and expense management.
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures, and tasks are performed in accordance with BNY Mellon's internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver Active Wealth practices to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Take ownership of hiring, training, and developing team members, including regular coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a Wealth Manager for a select group of large and complex client relationships.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to implement wealth management investment strategies for their respective regions.
  • Evaluate and pursue new business opportunities and client prospects, focusing on responsible growth that is compliant, of acceptable risk, and profitable.
  • Provide consultative services to prospects, advising UHNW and HNW individuals on achieving their short- and long-term strategic objectives through our solutions.
  • Pursue clients and centers of influence with complex strategic needs, generating new revenue through increased flows and future fees.
  • Interact regularly with clients, including in-person meetings, to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all resources are provided in the Active Wealth framework.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on investment, portfolio, advice, and planning topics impacting clients.
  • Build on a proven track record of business development, coaching, and empowering team members to succeed.
  • Meet annual self-sourced asset goals, leveraging existing client and COI relationships to generate self-sourced asset inflows.
  • Work with teams on opportunities sourced by other functional team members.
  • Adhere to all risk and compliance matters, ensuring all team members follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Complete all team-assigned compliance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills, serving as a role model and mentor for less-experienced team members.
  • Attract and recruit top talent, coaching and developing high-potential team members.
  • Oversee a team of Wealth Managers, managing financial resources, including budgets and expenses.
  • May serve as the primary interface for jurisdictional and regulatory matters, with entity governance responsibilities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of total work experience, with 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
  • Financial services experience required, with prior experience in wealth management preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working in a detail-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
