Position Overview

The Head of Enterprise Security is responsible for providing strategic oversight and leadership for security initiatives and operations. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including IT Operations, Application Development, Legal, and external partners. The Head of Enterprise Security ensures that security measures are effectively aligned with Bloomingdale's corporate objectives, customer experience, and data protection.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard Bloomingdale's enterprise.
2. Provide strategic guidance in all facets of Enterprise Security, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
3. Cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively across all areas within the security domain.
4. Plan and oversee the implementation of security infrastructure projects while managing support resources.
5. Demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, guiding teams to fulfill project requirements and deliver customer support.
6. Lead enterprise-level initiatives, achieving favorable outcomes through effective communication with management.
7. Maintain a comprehensive technical background to identify and mitigate organizational vulnerabilities.
8. Identify opportunities for process enhancements, particularly in security engineering and perimeter defenses.
9. Provide innovative leadership to optimize operational costs and enhance stability through automation.
10. Standardize and automate essential platform components and solutions.
11. Support global network security infrastructure, including Firewalls, VPNs, Proxies, and IDS/IPS systems.
12. Exhibit a strong commitment to operational security and automation, delivering comprehensive solutions within a large organization.
13. Align security initiatives with business objectives, collaborating closely with senior leadership.
14. Work in partnership with Technology and Business Units to promote security adoption.
15. Balance team leadership with direct involvement in priority projects.
16. Mentor team members in developing strategies and roadmaps.
17. Foster career development opportunities for team members, aligning with both organizational and personal goals.
18. Assist team members with prioritization and resource allocation to ensure the successful delivery of critical initiatives.
19. Provide guidance on recruitment and career advancement for analytics personnel.
20. Manage team resources and talent effectively.

- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical and systematic troubleshooting abilities.
- Emerging Technologies: In-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies and industry standards.
- Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Automation Knowledge: Strong grasp of automation best practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
