Key Responsibilities- Event Planning and Execution: Take charge of planning, organizing, and executing logistics for major events assigned, ensuring all necessary equipment, products, and services are secured.
- Coordination of Meetings and Events: Lead the coordination of ATAE Meetings and Events, managing everything from hotel arrangements and audio-visual needs to offsite logistics and event contracting.
- Vendor Contract Review and Negotiation: Review all vendor contracts for associated meetings and coordinate negotiations, tracking budget for each vendor associated with the event.
- Onsite Event Management: Serve as the key onsite contact for responsible events, handling real-time logistics and problem-solving to ensure smooth event execution.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with top industry figures, including ATD and ATAE leaders, VIPs, NADA Staff, and vendors.
- Project Management: Create and manage project timelines, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure that every aspect of event planning is executed.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a comparable amount of relevant training or experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of convention, event, trade show, and/or meeting planning experience required.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Map Your Show, Envision, and Airtable.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple short-term and long-term projects, and effectively follow through on assignments while balancing competing demands.
