About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Blueprint Medicines. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in supporting the medical objectives of our development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Exchange: Engage in high-quality scientific exchange with healthcare providers, including hematologists, allergists/immunologists, dermatologists, and oncologists, to discuss the science and clinical application of our precision medicine portfolio.
  • Relationship Building: Identify and cultivate key opinion leaders and build a network of experts in our disease areas of focus.
  • Insight Generation: Provide internal stakeholders with feedback and insights from interactions and discussions with healthcare providers.
  • Presentations: Deliver medical/scientific presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clinical Trials: Assist with company-sponsored clinical trials and facilitate investigator-initiated trials (ISTs).
  • Advisory Boards: Lead planning and execution of regional advisory boards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional partners on internal projects and external initiatives.
  • Education and Training: Provide educational meeting support at scientific congresses and support training of cross-functional teams.
  • Compliance: Adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance in all activities.
Requirements
  • Advanced Degree: Advanced Clinical/Science degree or professional credentials required (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA).
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience preferred in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs working with cross-functional in-house and field-based teams.
  • Travel: Extensive travel is required as part of this position (60%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hematology/Oncology Experience: Hematology/Oncology, Allergy or Rare Disease experience strongly preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

  • Self-Starter: Demonstrated self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal skills.
