Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for a commercial flooring technician varies based on experience and regional factors, typically ranging from $30 to $35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel across various Midwest locations to execute flooring projects
  • Conduct flooring repairs and installations

  • Prepare detailed job scopes including time estimates and material needs for project management
  • Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service in all interactions
  • Complete most assignments during overnight hours due to operational requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial flooring within diverse environments such as restaurants, medical facilities, or municipal projects
  • Proficient with flooring tools and equipment
  • Knowledgeable in various flooring systems, including but not limited to quarry tile, carpet tile, and vinyl
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to proficiently use smartphones and tablets
  • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites throughout the workday
  • Availability for overtime, evenings, weekends, and on-call duties
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly stand, walk, sit, kneel, and navigate stairs; climb ladders up to 35 feet
  • Work at various heights using platforms, scaffolds, and lifts
  • Lift and move heavy objects frequently throughout the shift
  • Operate and maintain various power tools and equipment safely
