Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Controls Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for our new product controls, participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) project teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Translate product requirements into electrical system designs and specifications
- Lead the development of electro-mechanical control systems, including HVAC control systems
- Design and develop electrical systems for new product controls, including fan motors, pumps, valves, and safety switches
- Partner with vendors and contractors to evaluate and qualify suppliers and technical proposals
- Develop and execute testing procedures and define pass criteria for electrical systems
- Lead activities to promote standardization across all business functions for hardware development and testing
- Identify and implement product improvements and cost-out opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in engineering with technical project management experience
- 5+ years of experience in developing electro-mechanical control systems, including HVAC control systems
- Proficiency in technical writing, specifically in electrical specification writing, test plan writing, and test plan execution
- Familiarity with integrated communications via building management system (BMS) protocols such as BACNet and Modbus
This role requires occasional lifting up to 30 pounds and travel both domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
