Assembly Technician

Thorlabs is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electronic components and semiconductor devices.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test electronic components and semiconductor devices
- Read and follow production drawings and work orders
- Position and align parts in specified relationships
- Perform assembly tasks such as cleaning, epoxy bonding, and fiber attachment
- Perform basic failure analysis and work with engineering staff to remedy problems
- Tend machines used in the assembly and testing of components and devices
- Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
- Perform online go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications
- 0-3 years' experience in semiconductor fabrication/assembly/packaging or other manufacturing/technical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic English language, writing, and communications skills
- Basic math skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
The Assembly Technician will work in a clean-room environment with hazardous chemicals, compressed gases, lasers, and high voltage. The employee must be able to work in a team environment and comply with high quality standards.
