Position Overview - Clinical Research Systems Lead

The Clinical Research Systems Lead is responsible for enhancing the ongoing operational activities of the Clinical Research Management System (CRMS). This role includes supervising System Coordinators in their daily functions, training, and providing guidance to the team. The Lead serves as a key resource for resolving day-to-day challenges and offers support to staff while also collaborating with Management and Leadership on various projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the workload and task assignments of team members to ensure efficient operations.
  2. Facilitate the regulatory review process by delivering customer support and assisting in the training of Clinical Research Systems users.
  3. Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of protocol metadata within Clinical Research Systems.
  4. Generate metric reports and track studies as required by Senior Leadership.
QualificationsEducation
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Required)
  2. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a science-related field (Preferred)
  3. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience with Clinical Research Software (Required)
  2. 5 years of experience in Clinical Research Operations and Coordination (Preferred)
  3. General knowledge of database applications, clinical research software systems, medical research methodologies, medical terminology, and report generation software; experience with financial, HR, EHR, and Grants Systems Design and Implementation (Preferred)
Certifications
  1. CRM - Clinical Research Management (Preferred)
