Your responsibilities will include collaborating with physicians to ensure the highest standards of patient care, while adhering to established protocols and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver outstanding customer service by welcoming patients and their families with respect and professionalism.
2. Prepare and verify patient records for appointments, ensuring all medical documentation is accurate and current.
3. Monitor and record vital signs, including pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height.
4. Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management, supply tracking, and phone communications.
5. Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with both staff and patients.
7. Ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities and patient care delivery.
8. Conduct patient interviews, document medical histories, and prepare individuals for examinations and procedures.
9. Observe and report any adverse reactions to treatments or medications to the appropriate medical personnel.
10. Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, including performing phlebotomy as needed.
11. Manage the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, including stocking supplies and disposing of waste properly.
12. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to performance improvement programs.
13. Attend organizational meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
14. Uphold the values and mission of the organization through your daily actions and interactions.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the relevant state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move patients or equipment weighing up to fifty pounds. You will also be exposed to various environmental hazards typical in a healthcare setting.
Immunization Requirements:
Compliance with immunization protocols as per healthcare guidelines is mandatory.
