Job Summary

The Packaging Specialist is a critical role within our cannabis cultivation facility, responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient packaging of products for shipment to retail dispensaries. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weigh, assemble, package, and label cannabis products in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  • Operate packaging equipment, including flow wrap, labeling, and heat-sealing machines, to ensure high-quality products.
  • Collect and document samples for quality testing and ensure compliance with state and local laws.
  • Transport completed products from the packaging workspace to the vault, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Manage and document cultivation waste, adhering to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Monitor and maintain quality control measures, ensuring the highest standards of product quality.
  • Collaborate with the Packaging Manager to resolve any system discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Document all activity using the company's track and trace system, ensuring accurate and transparent record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a related position, preferably in a regulated production facility.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a regulated production facility, such as food, beverage, or CPG, is a plus.
Working Environment

This role is performed in a warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate, and the work environment is clean and safe.
