Job Summary

The Packaging Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation of cannabis products for shipment to retail dispensaries. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling, packaging, and labeling products in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and package cannabis products, including flower, infused edibles, and extracts, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate packaging equipment, such as flow wrap, labeling, and heat-sealing machines, to ensure accurate and consistent labeling.
  • Collect and document samples for quality control testing as needed.
  • Transport completed products from the packaging workspace to the vault, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Manage and document cultivation waste, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure compliance with state and local laws.
  • Collaborate with the Packaging Manager to address any system discrepancies or quality control issues.
  • Document all activity using the company's track and trace system.
  • Inspect finished goods and processed flower for irregularities, reporting any issues to management and QA.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a related position, preferably in a regulated production facility.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a regulated production facility, such as food, beverage, or CPG.
Working Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical shock.
