About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Recovery: Maintain store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises, including preventing shrink and ensuring a clean and organized store environment.
  • Cash Handling: Execute cash handling to standards, including processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Merchandise Recovery: Support the merchandise return and go-back process, and participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Omni Channel Processes: Assist with Omni channel processes, including executing a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
Requirements
  • Retail and/or Customer Service Experience: Preferred, but not required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to remain standing for long periods of time, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
Work Environment

Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers. All public areas are climate-controlled, with some stock rooms and outdoor work areas.
