About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Animal Treatment Manager to join our team at the ASPCA Community Medicine (CM) team. As a key member of our veterinary medical team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to animals and their people through our stationary and mobile veterinary clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the veterinary technician team in technical skills, client communication, and animal handling.
  • Support the veterinarian and other medical team members in providing quality nursing care to patients.
  • Coach staff on efficient clinic flow, technical skills, and low-stress animal handling techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with CM standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2 or 4-year program) or equivalent.
  • Current New York State Veterinary Technician License.
  • Minimum two years of experience as an LVT in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Experience in HQHVSN or shelter medicine strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
