POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Security Officer is accountable for ensuring the safety and protection of students, personnel, and facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts regular patrols of designated areas, remaining vigilant for disturbances, safety risks, traffic violations, suspicious activities, and other irregularities.
- Implements and enforces all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Performs thorough security and safety inspections of buildings.
- Assists staff in managing and resolving disturbances.
- Handles complaints and conducts initial investigations as necessary.
- Guarantees the physical security of all properties and facilities.
- Oversees parking and traffic management duties.
- Enforces the center's access control policies.
- Provides escort services as required.
- Ensures adherence to fleet management protocols and reporting.
- Develops and manages the scheduling of security personnel and drivers.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with law enforcement protocols.
- Basic understanding of crowd control and riot management techniques, with a proven ability to intervene effectively in physical confrontations.
- Strong interpersonal, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with large groups of students, including those with special needs.
- Proficient in using software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred: At least six months of experience in a security or related role.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Must obtain a valid commercial Driver's License Class B with passenger endorsement within three months of employment, along with Water Safety Certification.
