Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as a vital member of the radiation oncology team, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Exhibit proficiency in delivering a prescribed course of radiation therapy with precision and safety.
  • Utilize appropriate machine settings to provide treatment while closely monitoring the patient and treatment console.
  • Capture necessary verification images as part of the treatment process.
  • Review treatment plans and parameters before initiating therapy.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in treatment plans to the relevant personnel.
  • Engage in and uphold Quality Assurance activities.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Graduate from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  3. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
  4. Preferred: Two years of experience as a radiation therapist.
  5. Familiarity with ARIA and Truebeam systems is advantageous.
  6. Experience with Cyberknife and HDR is preferred.
  7. Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
  8. Ability to educate and mentor other staff members, demonstrating independence in work.
  9. State licensure is mandatory.
