Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Production Specialist to join our team at Celanese International Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of chemicals in our plant.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily duties with production, technical, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead a team of 10 employees and provide guidance and support to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and control production processes to ensure they are running within established parameters.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement plans to address any safety or quality issues that arise during production.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of improving process efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and standards, as well as other relevant laws and regulations.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position also requires the ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, and vendors.
