Registered Nurse

Under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator at the Wound Care Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering patient care and managing the intake and discharge processes for patients at the Wound Care Center. This role may also involve serving as a Case Manager for a designated group of patients, depending on the operational structure of the Wound Care Center.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN licensure in the State of Arkansas (including multistate).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is mandatory.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required (may be obtained within 3 months of employment).
Department-specific certifications may also be required (may be obtained within 3 months of employment).

- Identify and implement safety measures to prevent patient injuries.
- Meet departmental standards and competencies as evidenced by specific documentation.
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical records.
- Participate in scheduled departmental meetings and educational opportunities.
- Report safety concerns or incidents and engage in performance improvement initiatives.
- Foster professional relationships with colleagues, patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to standard precaution protocols and infection control procedures.
- Deliver compassionate, supportive, and respectful care to patients, families, and visitors at all times.
- Provide care to Wound Care Center patients and manage intake and discharge processes as assigned.
- Assist in the vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- May serve as Case Manager for a group of patients, which includes:
- Conducting initial nursing assessments, communicating findings to the assigned physician, assessing wound stages and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating patient status regarding desired outcomes, and identifying care situations requiring intervention.
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives, educating patients or caregivers, and advocating for patients in care delivery and coordination.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) duties as assigned, following completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.
- May take on hyperbaric safety director responsibilities after completing the required training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
- May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
- Perform additional duties as required.
